Philosophy of Sufi Sadar Uddin Ahmed Chishty

The expression of Qurans philosophy is based on six basic principles.

The Quran is an image of the human life. It is a mystical book which narrates the enigma of this existence. The expression of it’s philosophy is based on six basic principles, as : 1. The Doctrine of Re-birth 2. Spiritualism or Sufism 3. Guru-ism 4. Unbroken & ceaseless Salat 5.Allegory 6. Maad

>>1. The Doctrine of Re-birth :
The enigma of rebirth or reincarnation of living beings is expressed in the Quran in different ways. Almost all the topics are based on this basic theorem. But Quran has avoided a direct declaration about it. Most probably this is because of human tendency to take a wrong impression about re-birth which leads him towards recklessness.

>>2. Spiritualism or Sufism :
Mind purification is what Quran gives emphasis on. In other words it talks about the God-hood in man which he/she can flourish in own-self through self revelation. Rituals and festivals are not ordained for man in the Quran because they carry no value in God’s eye. Rather all the apparent description of rituals are in fact allegorical narration of spiritual upliftment of a human mind.

>>3. Guru-ism :
Quran has given an utmost importance on the necessity of acceptance of manifest spiritual teachers who are Godheads. Only books cannot make a man learned; he needs corporeal teacher to gain knowledge on any subject. And only the Godheads in human form can teach about God or God-hood. According to Quran, worshipping an imaginary invisible God as the almighty is a normal tendency of a sensual & licentious man.

>>4. Unbroken & ceaseless Salat :
Salat is the process of self revelation which is to be applied on each & every actions & activities of a human brain. Thus the practice of Salat is made ceaseless & unbroken; in Arabic which is termed as ‘Dayemee Salat”. For the purpose of self revelation Quran calls for a practice of unbroken & ceaseless Salat.

>>5. Allegory :
Allegorical expression is a way to make a literature sound and profound. Quran has used this technique wide & vastly. In this way the literature has become more poetical & beautiful. The allegorical words & terms the inner them disguised from an easy reach of the general people and made it accessible for the intelligent ones. Thus the original scripture could remain almost intact & safe from the possible distortion and destruction by the materialistic rulers. Even though the history says that some small changes took place by the third caliph Othman (Osman).

>>6. Maad :
Maad is a symbolic sign used extensively all over the Quran. There are two types of Maad, long (Long Maad) and short (Long Maad).

Elongation in the recitation of words is not the purpose of the implementation of these two signs, in the Quranic literature. That’s why in the translation of verses of the Quran in this book, the meaning of these two symbols have been expressed in words.

These six points are the basic foundation on which the literature of the Holy Quran is based on. The inner thought of it’s literature cannot be extracted if any of these six points is ignored.

As a translator, I have out up these six points in the preface of this book as the writer did in his original book. A few changes have taken place in this translation work which were done under the direct direction of the writer.

Mohammed (A) didn’t come to strengthen Arab nationalism or to create a new commune with a new religion. Though after His departure the rulers made a mal-use of His philosophy and made it a ritual based religion which helped them in conquering land and make empire.

In fact a prophet or His verses doesn’t belong to any group or a society or a nation. A Godhead doesn’t come to create communalism or sectarianism. It is the materialistic men who do not like the philosophy of the saints, but as they cannot ignore the intensive impact of the saints in the society so they distort the philosophy in such a way whish help them to maintain a materialistic life along with some religious in the name of that Godhead side by side.

I hope this book would help the intelligent and conscious people to be more curious about the enigma of this whole existence.
